Travel to the Mediterranean can be expensive, but the good news is that there are a number of grants and fellowships for which students can apply to offset the cost of travel and room & board. Some of these are internal to specific participating institutions while others are available through archaeological and academic organizations.
Deadlines tend to be in the late winter or early spring, so plan ahead!
